Cataract surgery

Has anyone had cataract surgery? I’d love to have some feedback. I’m having my cataract removed 4-23.

Foot Fusion Anyone?

Has anyone had a foot fusion? Please tell me how it went!! I’m having mine on 4-14. I have countless issues with my foot and after surgery I’ll have the list and list them all…plus, I will be able to list what exactly what they did in surgery.

It seems like if you have a medical condition, you totally understand why there is such a need for “universal” healthcare.

Do you agree with Obama’s plan?

There is a cure (or something close to a cure) for RA…

There absolutely HAS to be a cure for RA. I can’t vouch for the other forms of arthritis, but I can for RA. There is a 90% chance of remission in pregnancy and doctors know WHY. The “why” is because the baby produces a hormone, much like prednisone. These drug companies can replicate so many things…so, why not the hormone that the baby produces? Right?! There is just absolutely NO money in the cure (or the infusion/pill to put the RA into remission), so why would the drug companies want to produce that medicine for us when they can get away with charging $25,000 for ONE infusion of Rituxan?

What do you all think?

Remission in pregnancy…

I’m definitely getting better as the weeks go by…so I’m going to stay positive and believe that I am one of the 90% of women who go into remission with pregnancy.

Has/is anyone else in remission due to pregnancy?

Weight gain…ugh…

I’ve packed on the pounds these last couple of months. Sure, most is due to a couple of meds that I’ve been on & off…none worse than the dreaded prednisone that I’m currently on If I had the money for Weight Watchers, I’d be at a meeting right now!!

I’m not on any other arthritis medications now, Enbrel does it all – which is absolutely amazing. When I tried all of the other TNF-cell blockers, biologics, you-name-it, I was always on additional meds, like methotrexate, mobic, arava, plaquinil, etc., etc., etc….LOL! I do have to take some pain meds here and there, but that’s for the OsteoArthritis. So I can say for 100% certainty that the Enbrel is controlling my RA.
